Independent benchmarks consistently show Hetzner's ARM and x86 instances performing well for CPU-bound tasks. Their NVMe-backed instances beat DigitalOcean's standard SATA SSD Droplets on disk I/O by a significant margin.

Both providers offer ticket-based support on standard plans. DigitalOcean has more extensive documentation and a larger community. Hetzner's support is responsive but their team is smaller.
